NURSE AIDE I TRAINING COURSE
The Nurse Aide I Training Program at Nurse Aide Institute of Excellence is designed to provide entry level Nurse Aide Students with the fundamental nursing skills essential for providing resident care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This program is designed to prepare participants to successfully fulfill the minimum requirements for completion of the Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program and successfully meet the requirements for the listing on the Nurse Aide I Registry.

NURSE AIDE REFRESHER COURSE
This course is primarily for those with expired certifications and those nursing assistants with
out-of-state certifications seeking employment in North Carolina as a Certified Nurse Aide I. This refresher course is designed to prepare participants for completion of the Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program and to successfully meet the requirements for listing on the Nurse Aide I Registry.

MEDICATION AIDE TRAINING COURSE
This course is primarily for those who are currently Certified Nursing Assistants and want additional training to administer medications. Medications Aides are primarily employed by Skilled Nursing Facilities to administer medications in addition to performing basic nursing care. Upon completing this 24-hour state approved course, Certified Nurse Aides will meet the requirements to sit for the NC Nurse Aide Medication Exam. After passing the exam, the Certified Nurse Aide will be listed as a CNA and a Medication Aide on the Nurse Aide I Registry.

CNA II COURSE
The Nurse Aide II Course is designed to train Certified Nursing Assistants to perform more complex nursing skills and offer career advancement for Nurse Aides listed on the Nurse Aide I Registry. The Nurse Aide II performs more complex nursing skills with emphasis on the following: Oxygen Therapy, Sterile Technique, Wound Care, Suctioning, Peripheral IVs, Urinary Catherization, Feeding Tubes, and Ostomy Care.
